Mind Body Medicine Day Retreat

January 25, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

Mind Body Medicine focuses on the interactions between mind and body and the powerful ways in which you can participate in your own health and healing using intervention strategies and techniques. Thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and attitudes can affect and shape every aspect of our biological functioning. How we care for our bodies can affect how we think and feel and what we believe.

This retreat will give you an overview of Mind Body Medicine as well as teach you how to apply some of its core principles to your life so that you will then be able to begin a practice of self-care. This retreat will feature didactic and experiential exercises to further cement the utility of these principles. This retreat is not an all-inclusive experience. It is meant to be an introduction; an opportunity for discovery. Several topics will be discussed including, Self-Care, Meditation and Movement, Breathing, Food as Medicine, and Imagery. These techniques have the ability to help with stress, anxiety, coping ability, enhance immune function, as well as increase overall well-being. Come see what everyone is talking about. Come with an open mind and comfortable clothing is recommended.
